About

This is a band that I never know what I am going to get next and I know I will want to hear more of it!

- Music Shelf with Mustard

The Ruffolos began as a three piece band in 2017 with 3 EP releases and one full length album that made the top 3 albums on Itunes Reggae album charts. As the band progressed they became an 8 piece consisting of keys, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, drums, bass, guitar and two vocalists. The band had releases of 3 EPs and full length album that are still available on bandcamp, but have revamped their online presence to provide a more up to date image with current members. They’re live set and unreleased material have received strong praise by members of Reel Big Fish, Save Ferris, Suburban Legends, Fortunate Youth, Sublime, Five Iron Frenzy, Bite Me Bambi etc.

The Ruffolos have grown from residencies at local dive bars into playing venues such as The Glass House (Sold Out), House Of Blues Anaheim, House of Blues San Diego, Observatory OC, Sealegs at The Beach, The Garden Amp (Sold Out), Party on Pine and more. Their sound is energetic and has been described as a universal sound that can keep any party going for all ages. They also continue to be hired for private events as they’re music holds well as those of any popular cover band which speaks volumes to the atmosphere they create at any live event.

In 2023 alone, The Ruffolos have served as direct support for bands such as Save Ferris, The Expanders and Perro Bravo of Skunk Records. They’re next show is on August 11, 2023 as direct support for an Orange County favorite, Suburban Legends! The Ruffolos also collaborated on a song with Louser titled “Sound The Alarm” as a featured artist which currently has 39K+ views on YouTube.

In 2024, The Ruffolos supported The Aggroites at Transplants Brewing in Palmdale, CA where they recorded their first live album titled "Live at Transplants". They then released a 4 song EP titled Mother Ruffer and then opened for Craig's Brother & the legendary Five Iron Frenzy on a weekend tour at Observatory Orange County/House of Blues, San Diego.

The Ruffolos also have a song that became the #1 song on Ska Parade’s top 50 songs of 2021, are avid supporters of Mental Health Awareness, have donated their time for multiple benefit concerts and have been a featured guest on Bradley’s House Podcast and OnTheUpbeatPodcast.
